Gaming is really in the cards for Sony's PS4, but it's not just any AAA shooter games. Back in February, Sony has been adamantly pushing for indie games as well as games that are not necessarily the popular shooter types.

And it's highly likely that the E3 2013 will be a mix of indie, AAA, and everything in between, at least for Sony, as four new game titles have been tucked under its belt pre-E3.

First up is Warframe, a free-to-play co-op shooter game that makes use of DualShock 4 controller functions, focusing on the touchpad.

"Sony has been incredibly supportive and available [for indie developers], and [PlayStation 4], in my opinion , is incredible to develop for," said Steve Sinclair, creative director at Digital Extremes to GameSpot.

Next is Sony Online Entertainment's own double announcement, featuring DC Universe Online and Planetside 2, both of which are MMO games. And according to IGN, both games will be heading for the PS4.

What's more, the two games have been reported to be free-to-play digital downloads, to be released approximately the same time as when the PS4 console will be out in the market, signaling a heavy and potentially simultaneous release of games on the PS4 platform.

Topping off the list so far is Bloober Team's newest project Basement Crawl. Nothing has been revealed about the game, except for the fact that it will release at the same time window that the PS4 will be released in the market.

Joystiq does add that Basement Crawl may make your skin crawl, considering the rather creepy screenshot of a diminutive sinister-looking clown with a pacifier and a console joystick in hand that has been linked to the game.

Perhaps a horror game that banks on nightmarish creatures? Will it have the flavor of Stephen King's It? Stay tuned.

Xbox One in talks with Hollywood for content

Microsoft seems to be taking the entertainment section of the Xbox One in a more serious manner, as it has recently been reported to be in talks with Hollywood executives, in the hopes of gaining exclusive content.

Microsoft head Steve Ballmer and Microsoft entertainment guru Nancy Tellem have been in talks with CBS boss Les Moonves, Sony TV head Steve Mosko, and other chiefs of talent company WME, which according to Eurogamer, may have included in the session a sneak preview of what the Xbox One can deliver in terms of content.

Ars Technica reports that the Xbox One, then touted as the Xbox 720, has been hailed to bring its viewers-not just gamers, mind you-to a greater experience that goes beyond what you'd expect of a living room centerpiece.

The move for a more exclusive Hollywood-slated content seemed to have been sparked by Microsoft's move to have Steven Spielberg on board and at the lead for the Halo TV series, which will be made available solely through the Xbox One.

While this may be going on behind the scenes, gamers can still expect the Xbox One to deliver in terms of its gaming components at the E3 2013, with Microsoft's panel already bringing up some very interesting titles, including Halo developments and Fable Anniversary.
