Reports stated that California-based tech giant Apple has no plans of releasing the rumoured low cost iPhone 5S and will launch the iPhone 6.

IBTimes AU picked up some clues that will back up this claim of some reports. Apple will not release a budget iPhone and will release a smartphone with modest upgrades and enhancements.

Rumour has it that Apple's iPhone 6 will be powered by A7 quad core processor, which claimed to be faster than the previous processor. The processor will be paired with iOS 7 operating system, which is packed with new and better features.

Apple may have planned to bump the storage capacity of its smartphones. iPhone 6 is said to be coming in 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 128GB variants.

Concept images claimed that iPhone 6 will be packed with security features. It is reported that Apple is planning to include a fingerprint sensor in Apple devices for added security. Moreover, a new approved patent from Apple will enable users to operate their devices with mere scratches or tap gesturing.

The patent discusses acoustic input devices and basically means that iOS devices could also be used with sound inputs that would be transmitted via the casing that would then correspond with certain functions.

Lastly, a new concept of iPhone is making the rounds showing the device capable of wireless charging. One of the most common complaints with Apple devices like iPhone is the fast depleting battery. However, with wireless charging, users will enjoy longer battery life.

However, Apple has not yet confirmed any of the aforementioned rumours stated above.

Below are the five clues why Apple will not release the rumoured low cost iPhone 5S and launch the high end iPhone 6.

  1. Completely Redesigned iOS 7 - The iOS 7 is a completely redesigned software and Apple will most likely run the new mobile OS in a new hardware than in a low end smartphone.
  2. Tim Cook Statement - In the D11 interview of Apple's chief Tim Cook subtly suggested that the company will not release a low cost iPhone or a phablet this year. Tim Cook stressed that Apple invests time and effort in making each phone that serves various markets rather than making a myriad of phones aim to serve specific users.
  3. Apple's 2013 Calendar - Apple said that the iOS 7 will arrive in the fall. Based on previous iPhone releases, the Apple's smartphone is always the first device to show off the new operating system of the company. This could mean that iPhone 6 will arrive between September 22nd and December 20th.
  4. Battery Life - Apple's all-day MacBook Air tells us that it's now more interested in offering longer battery life than in making its devices thinner. So the iPhone 6 may be the same size and weight as the iPhone 5, but with longer battery life thanks to its next generation processor.
  5. iPhone 6 Design Revealed in WWDC 2013 - During the iOS 7 demos Apple included the image to the left, which looks unlike any current or past iPhone. Either it's the iPhone 6 or Apple has now taken to using meaningless stub graphics of imaginary Apple devices in its keynote presentations.
