People wondering whether Apple will be launching the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 model any soon may see the phablet released with the 4.7-inch version. According to the latest information, Apple may have found a way to launch the phablet iPhone 6 despite production issues. More importantly, retailers have started pre-orders and promotions confirming the impending release. If predictions are any indications, analysts believe the iPhone 6 release will change the business course for Apple opening up replacement cycles and opportunities. What can people expect during the live event and announcement?

AppleInsider cites iGen.fr about the latest information on Apple's iPhone 6 phablet. According to the report, Apple will be releasing the 5.5-inch and 4.-7-inch versions together this September 19. Despite previous claims that the phablet edition may be held up, it appears Apple will be offering the bigger variant but in limited quantity. This is to compromise with the production problems noted earlier.

In the meantime, people can tune in to Apple's live event before the actual store release. Analysts remain convinced that Apple will finally unveil the iPhone 6 at the event at 10 am PT, 1 pm New York and 6 pm London. For those interested in watching the one hour keynote, they can stream online using Safari on iOS 6 or later, OS X 10.6.8 or later and Safari 5.1.10 or later according to ZDNET. There are also a number of support devices people can check.

The number of pre-order options for iPhone 6 has gone up with some offering extravagant choices like diamond-encrusted handsets. All of these pale against Falcon luxury iPhone 6. According to CNET, the company is now offering a gold-plated device featuring a massive pink diamond. The handset is available for pre-order at a massive $48.5 million price tag.

Analyzing the upcoming product cycle, many analysts believe that Apple has started changing its business model to cater to the changing times. For starters, it has expressed interest over more flexible OS platform including a phablet. These will be new ventures for the company. According to ZDNET, Apple's upcoming preview of the iPhone 6 and wearables should spark a series of hardware launches that can result to growth in its services and software sector.

There is also the possibility of increasing the company's value through its phablet iPhone 6. The rationale is that larger screen devices offer more access to apps including valuable programs. There could be more high-value applications acessible via the iPhone if it has a larger screen. Macquarie analyst Ben Schachter notes: "With the iPhone 6's bigger screens, faster speeds, NFC, and better sensors, it is rational to expect significantly more utility from a broad variety of apps."

Analysts predict a $100-premium on the device with the 4.7-inch version starting at $650 off contract and the 5.5-inch at $750. Apple has not finalized the pricing yet.
