Hewlett-Packard has come up with slick design that could give the iPad a jolt.

With Windows 8 general release due on October 26, it's a good opportunity to take a look at the competition coming down the pike.

In this case, from Apple's Silicon Valley neighbour, HP. Apple announced the iPad in 2010, and now HP has an alternative for it, the Envy x2.
