After she was linked to Britain’s most eligible bachelor, Prince Harry, Emma Watson wanted to marry Steve Carell as she wrote it on her note to the actor during the Oscars 2015 awards night. Nominated for his role as John Eleuthère du Pont in “Foxcatcher,” Carell did not won an award on Sunday, Feb. 22, but won Watson’s admiration for supporting her #HeForShe campaign.

“You were pure genius in Little Miss Sunshine (one of my all-time favourite films), my brother became obsessed with you after Anchorman, I wanted to marry you or have you adopt me after Crazy, Stupid, Love, I hated that guy you played in The Way Way Back, and then you were mind-blowing in Foxcatcher,” the “Harry Potter” alum tweeted a snap her note to the actor.

She also thanked the 52-year-old actor for wearing the #‎HeForShe Monique Péan cufflinks at the Oscars 2015 and for supporting gender equality. The cufflinks features the campaign’s logo which is made of an eco-friendly materials.

In response to United Nations (UN) goodwill ambassador’s awesome note, the actor tweeted that he was honoured to support the Watson’s #HeForShe campaign and gender equality. Carell lost the Best Actor award to British star Eddie Redmayne for his outstanding portrayal of Steven Hawking in “The Theory About Everything.”

Aside from Carell, Watson also thanked “American Sniper” star Jake McDorman for wearing similar cufflinks to the awards show. She tweeted that she wrote “Will act for food” on the back of her graduation cap at Brown, and that both her and McDorman are kindred spirits.

Meanwhile, Emma Watson and Prince Harry made headlines over the weekend when an Australia’s women’s magazine reported that the pair are dating secretly. The “Noah” star was quick to deny all the rumours and reminded everyone not to believe everything from the media.

Although she will not be a princess in real life, the Hollywood star is scheduled to play Belle in the live-action “Beauty and the Beast.” The upcoming Disney remake will be helmed by Bill Condon (“Dreamgirls”).
