John Schneider, actor from Dukes of Hazzard and Smallville is set to appear in the hit television musical series Glee. He is set to play the role of the father of Sam Evans played by Chord Overstreet (and yes, Chord Overstreet will soon be back in the show as a returning guest).

To give you a brief review of the plot that Schneider will be involved in, you must remember that Sam's character lived in a hotel after his father was kicked out of his job. In the premiere of the show's third season, the character of Sam was written out by simply making it appear that he moved away when his dad found a new employment opportunity.

But he is set to return starting with Glee's eight episode. Ryan Murphy, the creator of the hit series, consistently expresses his adoration for having Chord around in the episodes.

With him coming back as Sam, this could mean as an early holiday gift for the Gleeks in you. Could there be anything better than having to see him return in time for the sectionals?
