"Black Widow" is a single about how black widow spiders are similar to the ladies' way of dealing with heartbreaking splits involving their lovers. Black widow spiders which are also called hourglass spiders or shoe-button spiders are notorious in the animal kingdom because the female arachnids eat the males after mating with them.
