Alexander Skarsgard Interested In ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Film [PHOTOS AND VIDEO]
News just keeps on pouring when it comes to the movie casting of the much anticipated "Fifty Shades of Grey" film adaptation based on the best selling erotic novels of author E.L. James.
One of the several potential actors who are constantly mentioned to perfectly portray the billionaire Christian Grey has provided another tease to the eager fans. Who could this actor be? Well, it is none other than "True Blood" hunk Alexander Skarsgard.
According to previous reports, Alexander Skarsgard claimed that the role of Christian Grey was just not creepy enough for him to portray and the actor would rather be more interested in starring in a "Lolita" remake. However, it now appears that the 36-year old actor had a change of heart.
Alexander Skarsgard revealed in an interview with ET Canada that he would only consider portraying Christian Grey if the movie has a great script. "It depends on who's directing it and who's in it," Skarsgard said.
ET Canada was also able to ask Ryan Gosling about the movie. The "Drive" actor has been reported to be the number one choice as Christian Grey but all Ryan Gosling could say in the interview was that he has not yet read the books.
Ryan Gosling and Alexander Skarsgard did not actually scoff at the idea of portraying Christian Grey, and these actors also did not say no to the role either. So, the casting competition toughens. Actors Matt Bomer and Ian Somerhalder are also on the list of actors who could portray Christian Grey.
Meanwhile, Swedish actor Alexander Skarsgard might have a better chance of scoring the talked-about character of Christian Grey because of his embrace on on-screen nudity and doing sex scenes. However, there are some fans who have voiced out that Skarsgard does not look right for the role of the dark and disturbed Christian Grey because he comes off a bit creepy like his vampire character in the TV series "True Blood."
