Allison Baden-Clay News: Toxicology Results In; Husband Denies Real Estate Firm Closed
Allison Badey-Clay, mother of three young daughters from Queensland, was buried nearly three weeks ago. But police are only beginning to uncover how she died, and who are the suspect(s) in her murder.
Police has received late Tuesday the results of toxicology tests done in Baden-Clay's remains. However, authorities are not yet releasing any information to the public.
Meanwhile, Allison's husband Gerard has denied reports that he was moving out. He was only moving his business to another Brisbane location. The late wife's husband said it was "business as usual."
Mr Baden-Clay told Courier Mail his Century 21 real estate franchise is now at Toowong Tower at Brisbane's Toowong Village Shopping Centre.
"It's very much business as usual and that's what we'd like to get out there," he said.
Police early hinted there has been a backlog in forensic test analysis, but they have expedited the post-mortem examination on Allison to move forward to solving the murder case and making an arrest.
Responding to pressure for answers, Police Commissioner Bob Atkinson on Tuesday told Brisbane reporters the detectives involved in the case are doing everything properly.
"Everything that they do has got to be done properly in a considered way to gain all the evidence possible before they make a move," he said, adding, "My understanding is that from the investigators' point of view, we're in fact fine with the way this has been progressed."
Mr Baden-Clay reported to police that his wife was missing on April 20. Ten days later, Mrs Baden-Clay's body was found under the Kholo Creek Bridge at Anstead. It took about 24 hours before her body was identified after being found by a canoeist.
Mr Baden-Clay's recent interview with Courier Mail is only the second time for him to speak to the media since his wife has gone missing. He also did not speak during Allison's funeral nearly three weeks ago.
The media is awaiting the next move by police officers now that they already have the toxicology results in the Baden-Clay murder case.
