Alyssa Milano spills ‘Charmed’ secrets; 90s TV show reboot on the cards
The witch sisters from “Charmed” may be back “any second” as Alyssa Milano has confirmed that the hit 90s TV series will surely be hitting the screens. However, “Charmed” fans will be disappointed to hear that the show’s original stars have not been approached yet to appear for the reboot.
Milano, who played Phoebe Halliwell, tweeted to her fans about the show’s return and told Entertainment Tonight that it can happen any second.
“#Charmed fans! Nothing has been confirmed. CBS is developing a reboot without the original cast. That's all I know for sure,” Milano tweeted.

I would imagine until CBS makes a decision on their reboot a true reunion type of show will not be happening due to CBS owning the rights. _

“It seems like that's going to happen any second. I just feel like with all these reunions, and we still have such a cult following, that I feel like someone's going to put that together at some point and we're all totally on board for that!” Milano said.
Fans have been demanding a reboot of the series for years and have even run campaigns on social media. However, going by what Milano said, it is difficult to say whether this is good news or bad news. Fans not only want a reboot of “Charmed,” but also want to see the original cast whom they have grown to love.
The show’s original cast included Milano, Rose McGowan, Holly Marie Combs and Shannen Doherty. The original show ran for eight series until 2005.
The reboot news come at a time when cult TV shows such as “Gilmore Girls” and “Fuller House” are all making a comeback. “Gilmore Girls” has announced it will create new episodes and “Fuller House” has signed up for a second season.
However, until show bosses confirm, Milano fans can watch her as the host of “Project Runway: All Stars.” It airs every Thursday on Lifetime in the US.
