After his split from Vanessa Paradis, rumors are around claiming that Johnny Depp is now currently romancing former co-star Amber Heard.

The 26-year-old actress who played as Johnny Depp's love interest in "The Rum Diary" might possibly play it in real life too. Rumors emerge that the two have been spending time together in New Mexico, where Depp is shooting his new film.

In an interview she gave out before, Heard described Depp as a "special" person. The blonde beauty who was seen boarding Johnny's plane to Las Vegas last April revealed that she was so keen to get the leading lady role of Depp and had auditioned for it four times.

"He looks even better close up," Amber gushed. "Johnny is a wonderful, special person."

Amber showered the actor with praises shortly after the release of their film "The Rum Diary" back in 2011. The Sun reports that the young actress even worded that Johnny "lights up the room."

"I auditioned four times and was told that Johnny would make the final choice. We've stayed friends, because that's the kind of man he is," Heard revealed about the audition process she went through.

In addition, shortly after Depp announced his split from partner of 14 years, Vanessa Paradis, he reportedly bought Amber a horse. A source claims that the veteran actor is smitten by the young actress, referring to her looks like that of an old-time movie star.

While the rumors aren't confirmed whether the two are actually dating, Heard once said that her role as Johnny's love interest in film was the "best experience" of her life.
