Original air date on FX: September 14, 2016
From being overly secretive to recently releasing six teasers that still did not give out any clue as to what the next season’s theme is about, the FX series has finally revealed its official poster -- and it contains spiders. There have been a lot of theories about AHS Season 6 but nobody could have guessed the appearance of these creepy crawlies.

The official poster has just been released and it shows a picture of a made up woman with red lipstick and hairy spiders crawling out of her eyes. Again, the mysterious symbol that looks like a six or a question mark appears again. Taken together with the teaser videos, the theme still does not appear to be clear and rumours on what the sixth season would really be about remains rumours.
Earlier this week, set photos were released, showing what appeared to be something connected to the Roanoke colony, which was a controversy from the 16th century. This involved a group of over 100 colonists who disappeared without a single trace. This was also mentioned in season 1, says a post in EW.
An earlier post by TV Line discussed the possible themes for the next season, which might be closer to becoming true. It was said that the theme “the innocence of children” points out to the heavy participation of children in the forthcoming storyline. More particularly, this could have been a direct referral to the demon child that was briefly teased in season 5.
FX big boss John Landgraf also revealed that the AHS season 6 will be set in the present, but will have “some echoes of the past.” The show premieres on September 14, 2016 on FX. It will also air on Channel Eleven in Australia.
