American Idol 11 Winner, Phillip Phillips, Hates All The Attention
Phillip Phillips was the one who emerged as the champ for American Idol Season 11 after 132 million votes. The simple pawnshop worker from Leesburg revealed a lot during his recent interview after being hailed as the big winner of the talent show. This includes not wanting to be the 'centre of attention.'
Phillips is still adjusting with all the fame that he admits is making him crazy. He said that he does not like being the centre of everyone's attention and that he is trying his best to cope with all the difference at the moment.
The young singer said that he thought all along that it was fellow contender, Jessica Sanchez, who will win the contest. But beforehand, they both agreed that they will be proud and supportive of each other no matter what the result would be.
Phillips revealed that his coronation song was something that the producers of the show felt would fit his personality. But he personally said that it was not a musical piece that he would choose to write. The indie artist said that 'Home' still sounded way too 'pop.'
His recent kidney surgery was postponed due to a complication of the sinus which also led to high fever.
