While Angie Miller’s supporters insists she should have advanced to Top Final 2, a couple from Pennsylvania had stabbed each other while arguing who among Candice Glover and Kree Harrison should be the Next American Idol.

Police authorities have arrested and put under their custody a couple from West Manchester after they were reported hurting each other over American Idol reality show. The arrest was made by the West Manchester Township police when Gregory Stambaugh, 57 and Karen Elaine Harrelson, 48 were reported stabbing each other over heated argument at their residence on Lycan Drive last May 15.

According to initial reports, the couple had too many glasses to drink resulting in a drunken argument when they found themselves not in one page who should be the next Idol. The incident took place a day before the final results was announced with Candice Miller nabbing the title, noted Fox news.

Investigators say that one of them (still unclear who between Stambaugh or Harrelson first grabbed the knife from the kitchen) was reported to have got up from the couch, went to the kitchen, grabbed a knife and stabbed the other. The first victim then retaliated by stabbing (the first stabber) after successfully wrestling to steal the knife. The couple, who are now both held in York County Prison, deny stabbing incidents and claim, they were just being playful and were “simply engaging in knifeplay.”

Police reports noted that both sustained minor injuries following the incident: Stambaugh with puncture on his forearm and Harrelson with scratches on her fingers and laceration on top of her wrist. They remain in police custody after being charged with aggravated and simple assault. The couple apparently hasn’t hired an attorney to help them argue their case.

Meanwhile, winner Candice Glover and Kree Harrison, along with Angie Miller and the Top Final 10 of American Idol 2013 are currently preparing for the Idol tour earlier scheduled on June 30. The top three winners have already launched their new singles each on iTunes. Candice Glover (I Am Beautiful), Kree Harrison (All Cried Out) and Angie Miller (You Set Me Free).

“I’m most looking forward to singing and not having to worry about being judged or making it through to the following stage. It will be nice just singing to the fans and getting to spend time with the top 10 or 11 again,” Season 12 winner, Candice Glover was quoted as saying by UnRealityTV in a post-final show interview.

As Top 3 Idol frontrunners for Season 12 began their journey for longtime careers for years to come, the show has been nothing without drama and it continues even after the show concluded on May 16. New faces are likely to sit on the judgest panel and more suggestions are lined up to make Season 13 a better one to pump up its increasingly declining ratings. Despite the low figures however, American Idol remains to be America’s most popular reality singing contest.
