“Good news and bad news…” or is it? Angie Miller is no longer taking the stage to perform her original song, "You Set Me Free," on American Idol Finale, leaving only the Top 2 Finalists, Candice Glover and Kree Harrison to shine on what could be one of the most interesting, shocking, twist-filled season in the history of American Idol! But the Top 3 Finalist is still set to sing with two other Idol winners.

With no intentions to mislead Angie’s millions of supporters and create their own “twist,” Angie’s mom, slipped and “accidentally” tweeted on Saturday last weekend, May 11 that her daughter will perform on Idol Final Show tonight, May 16. The #proudmom hinted that her 19-year-old daughter who had quite an emotional and shocking elimination on Idol, is set to perform her original song, “You Set Me Free,” - - the one that she sang on Hollywood week; the one that helped Angie advanced to Top 10; the one that made Angie a frontrunner on Idol week after week; and the one that gets audience goosies when they hear her sing. Yeah, that’s the one.

Angie's mom tweeted: "@tanamiller You are all amazing! @AngieAI12 Will sing You Set Me Free this week on Idol. Shortly after it will go for sale. She is so amazing! #proudmom."

But in another twist of event, Angie posted on her facebook, Wednesday, May 15, that she would no longer perform on stage. At least her original song.

She said, “I will no longer be singing You Set Me Free at the finale…”

Well, that’s the “bad news,” she noted. There’s a good news. And it’s a real good one.

Angie added, “BUT GOOD NEWS!!! It will be RELEASE ON ITUNES TOMORROW NIGHT!!! Get PUMPED!!”

Angie however is still gracing the Idol finale with Idol star winner Adam Lambert and the powerful duo will sing, "Bulletproof" by La Roux. Angie is also set to sing "Domino" with Jessie J.

Angie may have been eliminated to her chagrin and millions of her supporters and hundreds of followers on social media. But the girl with the big curls and an even bigger smile has broken some record in the history of American Idol.

Has there been any Idol contestant, winner, non-winner or any finalist who had launched her/his original single on the night of the show’s Final Show? None, that comes to mind.

And sure, this is the first. Idol has recently come up with better ideas to launch album of winners WEEKS after the winner is named. That was the plan. With this plan, America and the whole world would have to wait days and weeks before they could hear the winner in clean, studio-recorded album and be heard on the radio and watched on television.

But nothing could have prepared Idol viewers for this sudden twist of event.

Is Idol making up to Angie for allowing the system to let her go on Top Final 3 and allowing what critics described as the “least deserving finalist” (in Kree Harrison) on Idol Finale?

The decision of the Idol producers not to put her on the show may do everyone involved - - and American Idol in general - - more good than bad. Angie’s appearance on the finale may intensify the tension that could have been created and what she may have had impact on people after her shocking and surprising elimination on Idol Top Final 3. Her appearance on the show could actually put Kree in a bad light, influencing viewers’ decision and give their votes to Candice without listening to Kree’s performance.

Angie Miller’s non-appearance on Idol Finale may have been really good to everyone. And for Angie too, as her first single will be launched on the same night. Idol viewers may not see her perform LIVE on Idol but they could hear her on iTunes!
