‘American Idol’ judge Keith Urban’s music to be exhibited at Country Music Hall
“American Idol” judge Keith Urban have many things to look forward to in 2016. One of these is a new exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, which will feature him and his career as country music artist.
Titled “Keith Urban So Far,” the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum exhibit will display some items involved in the career of the Australian country music singer-songwriter. Dubbed “Clarence,” Urban’s 1989 Fender Custom Shop 40th Anniversary Telecaster will be included in the items on display, according to Rolling Stone.
Aside from singing, Urban also plays several musical instruments, including the piano, banjo, bass, drums and guitar. The Levinson Blade electric guitar he played on his hit “But for the Grace of God” will also be featured in the “Keith Urban So Far” exhibit.
During his childhood and teen years in Australia, Urban wrote songs. Handwritten song manuscripts of those songs will be displayed at the exhibit along with the shirt the Australian country music star wore for his self-titled 1999 debut album cover.
Urban has been supporting the education-based efforts of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum by co-hosting with Vince Gill at the “All for the Hall” concert events since 2009. It was also in 2009 when he released his sixth studio album titled “Defying Gravity.”
The emphasis of “Keith Urban So Far” will be on the “American Idol” judge’s dedication to the arts and music education. The exhibit will be opening on Nov. 20 and will run through May 2016.
In 2016, Urban will release his ninth studio album titled “Ripcord.” Two singles from the album, which are “Break on Me” and “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16,” are already released.
Also in 2016, Urban will return as one of the judges of “American Idol” Season 15 along with Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr. On May 11, Fox announced that the upcoming season will be the reality television talent show’s final one.
