'American Idol' season 11 runner up, Jessica Sanchez ,will sing at the upcoming fight between Boxing legend, Manny Pacquaio, and Timothy Bradley. Ironically, the half Mexican and half Filipino singer will be singing the American national anthem on June 9.

The announced confirmation first came when Sanchez herself tweeted the good news saying: 'Singing the American National Anthem @ the Pacquaio fight this Saturday in Vegas! I am sooooooo ecstatic!!'

She also announced it over her Facebook page. The event will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Vegas. For the Philippine national anthem, it will be Kirby Asunto who will belt it out.

Both singers will be performing live in front of 16,000 audience members, aside from the millions around the world who will catch the main event from their own homes.

Pacquaiao's trainer and coach, Freddie Roach, said that this would not be an easy fight for his own protégé. He even recommends retirement for Pacquiao if the boxing champ will look terrible after the Bradley fight.

Manny Pacquaio who has turned to become a more spiritual person recently is also reported to have had his own social media site that features gaming and virtual forms of entertainment.
