'The Americans' season 4 episode 13 spoilers: The Lhassa virus hits William; the Jennings may move back to Russia in season ender

“The Americans” Season 4 will come to an end with its thirteenth episode titled “Persona non Grata.” The season ender would contain the answers to the issues that have been pressing the Jennings family all throughout Season 4. William is about to get exposed to the virus and both forces are working their way to him.

William (Dylan Baker) is being stalked by Dennis Aderholt (Brandon J Dirden) and Stan Beeman (Noah Emmerich). According to double agent Oleg Burov (Costa Ronin), the FBI and Stan are watching him closely, writes TV.com.

Williams will be carrying a vial of the Lhassa virus. He is being followed by the Directorate S operatives. However, the FBI closed in first. Stan and Dennis will see him via binoculars, as he cuts himself and gets infected by the Lhassa virus. Looking back on how he told Philip Jennings (Matthew Rhys) how tragic it is to die via the Lhassa, it seems he would be able to experience the tragedy.

Gabriel (Frank Langella) would find out that William was caught. He warns Philip and Elizabeth Jennings (Keri Russel) that they should be prepared to go because William might spill details.

However, because of his infection, William knows that he is about to die. Hence, there is no reason why he would give valuable information. More so, he told the FBI that there is nothing they could do to him nor for him since there is no cure for the virus, Celebrity Dirty Laundry notes.

Because of the capture, it is also important to consider how this would affect Tatiana Evgenyevna’s (Vera Cherny) storyline. It is a question of whether she would find out if Oleg was the one who spilled the intel. Also, what would be the implications of Oleg’s actions to himself? Some say that he might have a similar ending like Nina Krilova (Annet Mahendru) who was executed.

Back in the Jennings family, Gabriel reminds both of the agents that their job is not meant to be forever and that they have always been predisposed to danger. Elizabeth is dumbfounded at the thought that they might need to move back to the USSR. Paige (Holly Taylor) and her brother Henry Jennings (KeidrichSellati) would not be happy about this.
