The troubled singer decided to call off following shows in Europe after a failed concert in Serbia which was described her "worst live show" yet.

The Grammy-award winning singer has yet to prove she's ready to come back on the stage after her embarrassing show in Belgrade, Serbia last weekend. According to attendees, Winehouse arrived more than an hour late looking dazed and intoxicated. The "Rehab" singer was described drunk, incoherent, and "mumbling" throughout her songs. Serbian and European press labeled the show as a "disaster" and downright "scandalous". Because of this, Winehouse decided to cancel two shows off her European tour: one in Istanbul, Turkey and one in Athens, Greece later this week. Winehouse's management team has released a statement regarding the abrupt cancellation of these shows.

"Despite feeling sure that she wanted to fulfill these commitments, she has agreed with management that she cannot perform to the best of her ability and will return home", says the management team in a report posted at News.com.au. The statement read on "she (Winehouse) would like to apologise to fans expecting to see her at the shows but feels this is the right thing to do". Those who saw the Belgrade show paid up to $60 for a ticket, the same amount that will be refunded to those who bought tickets for the cancelled Istanbul and Athens concerts. Some of the fans called the singer as "an arrogant performer who should never perform again".

The singer has always had problems with alcohol and controlled substances in the past, with repeated visits to various rehabilitation clinics. Just recently, Winehouse checked out of Priory Clinic, a rehabilitation center in London for her alcohol addiction. Although Winehouse continues to be an "outpatient", it is clear the singer can't keep her hands away from the bottle. The singer's tour rider has already stated to "remove" all alcohol and intoxicating products from all dressing rooms for the duration of Winehouse's 12-date European tour.
