Android 4.4 KitKat Update For Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Rolling Out For AT&T, HTC One Max For Sprint
Android 4.4 KitKat update for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for AT&T and HTC One Max for Sprint has started rolling out.
AT&T now pushes Android 4.4 KitKat update for its version of Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which brings the typical KitKat goodies such as choosing your default messaging app, option to set the sound for particular Samsung apps and the white status bar icons.
Here is the full list of Android 4.4 KitKat update changes shared by AT&T:
1. Improved UI - restyled navigation and status bars, color emoji support, new full-screen-immersive mode, stronger security, smarter power use and improved closed captioning support.
2. Default messaging app - select a default messaging app when users have multiple messaging services.
3. Improved GPS
4. Improved music access - full screen media controls and album art are available from the lockscreen when listening to music.
5. Location menu - integrated location menu allows users to activate GPS and share location details easily.
6. Camera access - camera can be accessed directly from the lockscreen.
7. Wireless printing - wireless printing is made available in enhanced settings.
8. Improved sound controls - set the sound of specific Samsung apps in enhanced settings. To snag this update, go to Settings > More > About Device > Software Update > Check for Updates.
Sprint also started to roll out Android 4.4 KitKat update to HTC One Max. The update started for Sprint One Max up to software version 2.09.651.1. The update includes SDC support and new Bluetooth profiles, among others. HTC One Max in Sprint can check for 344 MB update by going to Settings > System updates > HTC software update > Check Now.
It is good to see the Android 4.4 KitKat update start rolling out for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and HTC One Max, which are both flagship devices. There is no doubt that this is good news for AT&T Galaxy Note 3 and Sprint HTC One Max users out there.
