Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt divorce update: Brad has not seen his kids since the divorce was filled
In the week following Angeline Jolie and Brad Pitt’s announcement that they are getting a divorce, the public has sat shocked at the various allegations against Pitt. In particular, many have wondered how the children are doing since Jolie is seeking for full physical custody of all six -- Maddox (15), Pax (12), Zahara (11), Shiloh (10) and the twins Knox and Vivienne (8).
As E! News noted, Brad has not seen his children since the announcement of the divorce. "He really wants to see the kids and to work out an arrangement that is best for them," a source told the publication. "[He] wants to work things out privately and amicably."
The publication also reported that Angelina is aware that the custody arrangement will not be permanent. The 41-year-old has apparently resigned to the idea that she and Brad will someday need to co-parent their children.
However, the LA County Department of Children and Family Services are still looking into the allegations against the 52-year-old actor. Brad allegedly had an incident aboard a private plane, where he drank too much and got a little too verbal and physical with the kids.
For the time being, Brad has chosen to keep his distance from the media. In particular, he is keeping away from any promotional appearances involving Terrence Malick’s “Voyage Of Time: Life’s Journey,” which he narrates.
“I’m very grateful to be part of such a fascinating and educational project,” he told Access Hollywood. “But I’m currently focused on my family situation and don’t want to distract attention away from this extraordinary film, which I encourage everyone to see.”
Meanwhile, Angelina and the six kids are reportedly keeping away from the public eye at a rented Malibu home. Two of the actress’ closest friends, Baroness Arminka Helic and Chloe Dalton, are supposedly staying with the family as well.
