Angelina Jolie: “No Secret Wedding, No Adoption, No Baby… Just a New Movie” [VIDEO/PHOTOS]
Angelina Jolie Fights Rumors as she Talks about her Directorial Debut
In the October issue of “Vanity Fair” released in newsstands Thursday, Sept. 1, the A-list actress, Angelina Jolie talks about her directorial debut and how long-time partner, Brad Pitt comes into play, to make sure she never misses any detail in any way.
Responding to recent reports, Jolie is also able to dispel any “secret wedding, pregnancy and adoption rumors” all in one in the VF’s latest issue set to be released today in New York and Los Angeles.
“I’m not pregnant. I’m not adopting at the moment,” Jolie maintained in an interview with Vanity Fair’s contributing editor, Rich Cohen.
“There’s no secret wedding,” the “Tourist” star said, confirming that indeed another Hollywood wedding is in the works. One thing we hope could be bigger than any of the recent weddings that had taken the world by storm.
Having set the records straight, Jolie then discussed her directorial debut lengthily, describing how she came up with the script, chose the actors to portray her characters and how she’s handled herself behind the camera.
“I had the flu,” Jolie began, recalling the two important days when the film was conceptualized. “I had to be quarantined from the children for two days.
“So I started writing. I went from the beginning to the end. I didn’t know any other way,” Jolie added during the interview, as she recounted how she started scribbling her own script.
If you think however, that her directorial debut would come without Brad Pitt’s helping hand, think again. Brad Pitt was there to give insights to ensure that the film goes as beautifully as conceptualized and written as it could possibly be.
His help begun the moment she handed him the script before he left on a trip.
“He called and said, ‘You know, honey, it’s not that bad.’” Angie shared lovingly of her partner.
And Brad Pitt continues to share his thoughts as the film gets rolling.
“He’s been so supportive. But it’s hard to separate the person that loves you from the critic, so I don’t think he’s a fair judge.” But she goes on to say that “people will judge for themselves. I think if you make a good movie people walk away arguing.”
Hold your horses! You can join the arguments in December 2011 as Jolie’s first film hits theaters in U.S. theaters.
