Angelina Jolie returns to LA after New Year celebrations; Agrees with Brad Pitt in keeping custody case private
Angelina Jolie has returned to Los Angeles on Dec. 2 after celebrating New Year's Eve with her children in Colorado. No sooner did she return than Brad Pitt asked a Los Angeles Superior Court judge to seal all the legal records of their six children. Angelina Jolie has agreed with Brad Pitt as it is a private matter.
On Monday, the 41-year-old actress returned to LA with her children. She was seen getting down her private jet with Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox. They had visited Crested Butte and bought her children ice cream. Angelina Jolie was wearing a black sweater and carried a tote bag on her arm, according to reports of the Daily Mail. The happy holidays were soon followed by a dispute between Brad and Angelina.
Brad Pitt asked a Superior Court judge to seal all the legal records as he feels his former wife has been revealing every detail to media, disturbing the privacy of the kids. While Jolie has agreed with Pitt in sealing the custody details, she said that the “Ocean’s Eleven” actor is “terrified that the public will learn the truth.”
The court documents mentioned, “There is little doubt that [Brad] would prefer to keep the entire case private, particularly given the detailed investigations by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Dept. of Children and Family Services into allegation of abuse.”
“It’s nice to see that she has finally come around to supporting the sealing of documents weeks after he requested this action,” says one of the sources to People. The source further added, “Let’s hope that this agreement to keep things private going forward will finally allow this to be resolved quietly for the best interests of the children.”
With the growing differences between the couple, Brad Pitt seems to be getting more distant from his children. While Angelina Jolie returned to LA after New Year celebrations, Pitt has celebrated his “worst holiday.” As both actors have agreed to seal the documents of the custody case, the children are likely to get benefit from this decision.
