The actress billed to be the next "Catwoman" claims that Kate Middleton inspires her to dress up with elegance and tries to be a cut above the rest.

Maintaining a style that is far from being trashy and cheap, Anne Hathaway shares in an interview with USA Today's Andrea Mandell, that she looks up to the Duchess of Cambridge when it comes to her style.

Aside from discussing details about her new movie "One Day," the "Princess Diaries" star speaks only of good things about Prince William's bride.

"Can I tell you how grateful I am to Kate Middleton? Because she is such an advocate for dressing like a lady," says Hathaway in the USA Today report. The new Catwoman mentioned that it really takes years to develop once's fashion sense but she advises against the pitfalls of just impulsively following a trend that might not be good for you.

"I think for a few years that kind of slightly dirty look was adopted by Hollywood - you know, the stringy hair, homeless thing. And I really tried," admits Hathaway in the same USA Today post. Hathaway added how "grateful" she is for The Duchess' choice of clothing.

"I'm just very grateful to Kate Middleton for making looking appropriate really fun again. So right now my fashion choices are all about Kate Middleton." says Hathaway.
