Noting changes in currency exchange rates, Apple on Monday disclosed App Store prices in Australia and four other countries stand to rise.

In an email sent on Tuesday to developers, the Cupertino-based tech giant Apple said the price increase becomes effective within 24 hours in Australia, India, Indonesia, Turkey and South Africa.

The price increases apply to Mac, iPad, iPhone and iPod touch apps.

ITWire predicts the price increase will make a huge difference.

"If you were holding out to buy 'VIP Black,' available for just $1049 ... now might be the best time to do it," the portal said.

It was in 2011 when prices of Apple apps last increased in Australia since 2011 when prices fell due to the strong Australian dollar.

On 11.38 am ,Tuesday, the Australian dollar fetched $US0.93.
