The Apple iPhone 6 release date is fast approaching, as far as the buzz in tech websites is concerned. People are hearing jokes and speculations about an iPhone 6C (in relation to the cheaper iPhone 5C) and an iPhone 6L (this time, "L" means "large" for the rumoured big-screen variant). Those who are second guessing themselves about the supposedly upcoming new iPhone should know three things.

Known blogs on Apple iPhone updates, such as 9to5Mac.com, are saying the next iPhone could be coming out in September or October this year. There may even be two release dates for the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 variant, and the bigger 5.5-inch option.

On Twitter, some users talk about an upcoming iPhone 6C as if it has been confirmed. Apple, however, has yet to announce an official release date. Still, the Wall Street Journal earlier picked up a report that the Cupertino-based company is "expected" to unveil the new iPhones in an event on Sept. 9.

Price is a very important consideration when phone shopping, so potential buyers have to be objective in answering this question.

Am I comfortable in the iOS environment? The Twitter user above seems to prefer the Android operating system (KitKat 4.4.4 now running in many devices). Switchers should avoid buyer's remorse by trying the iOS first. (No need to be an early adopter in case the iPhone 6 does come out.) One of the many reasons for the Android to Apple switch, however, is the Apple App Store.
