Two iPhone 6 Variants with Different Display Sizes

Many Apple iPhone fans are expecting a quad HD resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels on the 5.5inch iPhone 6. However, there are no concrete rumours to confirm on that. Apple may still stick to Retina Display on the new phablet edition.

Based on rumours coming from multiple sources, PhoneArena states that the 4.7inch iPhone 6 may feature a 10MP or 13MP shooter. It may be the very same Sony IMX220 sensor which is present inside the Sony Xperia Z3. It will feature f/2.0 aperture, larger pixels of 1.75μm and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).

Nothing much is known about the camera details of 5.5inch iPhone phablet. It may sport the very same camera that will come with the 4.7inch model.

Battery

According to Macrumors, the 4.7inch iPhone 6 will be packed with an 1810mAh capacity battery. The source even claims that a contradicting rumour indicates that it may feature a 2100mAh battery. The 5.5inch iPhone 6 will be housed with a larger battery of 2915mAh.

New Features

iOS 8

One rumour that is most likely to come true is that the new iPhone 6 models will come preloaded with the new iOS 8 update. As far as looks are concerned, the iOS 8 does not differ much from the iOS 7, but it is certainly packed with new features and improvements. Going by the previous release patterns, Gizmodo claims that both iPhone 6 models are expected to be available for purchase by September 19. However, there are other rumours that say that the 5.5inch iPhone 6 phablet will come out by the end of the year.

The same source claims that the base model of 4.7inch iPhone 6 would be priced at $199 on contract, whereas the base model of 5.5 iPhone 6 will be available at a contract price of $299.
