Apple launched iOS 9.3: three best features of the OS revealed
Apple’s iOS 9 operating system was introduced to iPhones and iPads on Sep. 16. Since then, the tech giant has introduced several incremental updates for iOS 9 to add improvements and bug fixes. The company recently released the latest iOS iteration, iOS 9.3, packed with interesting features including three very smart new features. These three features are discussed below:
· Night Shift
According to Forbes, iPads, iPods and iPhones running on the iOS 9.3 OS version can now help you sleep better. The Night Shift app in the devices uses a combination of geolocation and clock to follow the sunset hours and change the colours on the phone’s display accordingly. The bright display colours on your device’s screen for the day changes to warmer hues during dusk time to make it soothing to the eyes.
· Improvised 3D Touch
Apple iOS 9.3’s new feature, the 3D Touch, helps to add new ‘Quick Shortcuts’ for the iTunes Store, Weather, Health, App Store and Compass. This new feature is expected to add more improvements to the performance of iPhones.
· Smart Education
The Cupertino Company also introduced a dedicated education section through the Shared iPad feature, Classroom app and Apple School Manager hub. Shared iPad allows students to get access to their books, documents and apps exactly at the place where they left it the last time when they logged out. The Classroom app, on the other hand, enables teachers to control all the iPad units of the students attending his/her classroom. Meanwhile, Apple School Manager hub is the place for teachers to buy class books and apps, compile courses, etc.
According to CNET, the Notes app, Health app and CarPlay app are some of the few other apps included in the iOS 9.3 version. Apple recently released the new News app of the latest iOS 9.2 in the United Kingdom. This OS iteration also added new emojis in the Apple devices, reports MacWorldUK.
