Apple Watch 2 to have a built-in video camera for FaceTime calls
The Apple Watch has only been out in the tech market for less than a year, but there are already reports of its maker developing its second generation version. Rumour has it that Apple is going to unveil the new Apple Watch 2 in a special event in next year.
9to5Mac has reported that the Cupertino tech giant is thinking about holding a special media event in March 2016. That said, it is believed that CEO Tim Cook will be unveiling the Apple Watch 2 on the said event.
Since these reports came out in the Internet, the rumour mill has been abuzz with speculations that the Apple Watch 2 is going to feature a built-in video camera. This will certainly delight avid FaceTime users. Plus, the upcoming flagship smartwatch is also said to have a more diverse variety of watch bands -- ones that are reportedly slimmer than their predecessors, according to Network World.
Although the Apple Watch 2 is most likely going to be the talk of the town early next year, multiple online reports have pointed out that it is not the only device that Apple has up its sleeve. Rumours are circulating that Apple is planning to unveil a new 4-inch iPhone 6C alongside the Apple Watch 2.
At present, the only 4-inch iPhone model in Apple's roster of smartphones is the iPhone 5S. That said, the company's decision to come up with a new model to cater to the needs of tech users who prefer using smaller gadgets would make sense. After all, the iPhone 5S is already two years old and it lacks the advanced specs that are now featured in the iPhone 6S.
The iPhone 6C will also reportedly boast of a metal exterior. This is a huge improvement from the plastic that was used for the frame of the iPhone 5C. Moreover, under the hood, the iPhone 6C is also expected to come out of the box pre-installed with Apple Pay support, in addition to a much faster A9 chipset.
