The company has not revealed what it had planned on the media event. Although it is not officially said by Apple, it is speculated that iPhone 5 will be the highlight of the event.
Apart from the date and hinted on the device that will be launched at the event, Apple keeps all other details top secret. Below are the things that we will probably see at the media event.
- iPhone 5 is the name of the device - There were a lot of speculations before on what will be the name of the latest generation of iPhone. However, Apple released us from the burden by indicating in its invite that the device will be named iPhone 5. The shadow of the number 12 is 5 hinting that the event will introduce iPhone 5.
- Larger screen - A leaked video featured the casing of the allegedly iPhone 5. The footage from iLab Factory showed Apple's flagship phone with a massive screen. The video also showed the new dock connector of the device. According to the latest rumors, iPhone 5 is speculated to have the final measurement specs will be 58.47mm x 123.83mm x 7.6mm. As with previous iterations, thickness is expected to be equal across the body.

- New iOS 6 - Apple seems like to be competing with the recent launch of Samsung Galaxy Note 2 sporting the latest Android Jelly Bean. Apple's latest mobile operating system, iOS 6, will power the latest iPhone.
- 4G/LTE Connectivity - This is no brainer since most of the devices nowadays are equipped with this feature. However, Apple is yet to reveal if the 4G/LTE of the latest iPhone is compatible in all countries worldwide or will it make the same mistake upon the release of New iPad.
With minimal changes made on the outside, we can only hope that the Apple packed more inside the new iPhone 5. Some of the rumored features of the upcoming iPhone 5 are 4G/LTE capability, A6 chip and equipped by the new iOS 6.
iPhone 5 will have a 9-pin dock connector. The beta version of iOS 6 holds proof on this claim. Smaller dock connector will yield more space inside for greater features.
