'Aquaman': First trailer releasing next week
The first trailer of “Aquaman” will be released next week. Director James Wan confirmed this news, along with a teaser picture from the trailer. The video will be shown first at the San Diego Comic Con.
Wan is currently busy putting the final touches to the trailer. He shared a picture of him working hard on getting the video just right [see below]. The most noticeable part of the picture is that Aquaman will be getting his classic trident in the solo movie, instead of the one seen in “Justice League.”
The upcoming film is a continuation of the story, and it will not be an origin story or a prequel. The plot will focus on Arthur Curry learning that he is the heir to the kingdom of Atlantis, but he will have to fight his brother in order to become a king and save the underwater kingdom.
The picture that Wan has teased appears to be from a pivotal moment in the film. As the plot suggests, there will be some huge underwater battle sequences to look forward to in the film, which should be very different from the action sequences that the fans have seen in other Sci-Fi or fantasy movies.
After some mixed responses to the other DC movies that have been released so far, expectations are high on the upcoming film. Wan has already proven himself with action and horror movies like “Furious 7,” “Insidious,” and “The Conjuring.” The first trailer of the upcoming film should give the fans a good idea about whether or not Wan has been able to deliver another big hit.
“Aquaman” will be released on Dec. 26 in Australia. Jason Momoa will be back to play Arthur Curry. Some of the other cast members of the film are Doplh Lundgren (King Nereus) and Nicole Kidman (Queen Atlanna).
