Everyone's beloved Riverdale High students of the "Archie Comics" are soon headed to the big screen. News has it that a film adaptation for "Archie" is underway. With that being announced, here are few Hollywood stars that would perfectly suit the roles of Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge, Reggie Mantle and Jughead.

In 1941, the iconic ginger-haired and freckled face teenager named Archibald Andrews made his grand comic debut. The world hung on to the ride of Archie and the gang as they navigated the life of a high school teenager in Riverdale High. To date, many are still hooked on the comic books. In fact, the newest comic books have been split into two between Archie being married to either Betty Cooper or Veronica Lodge.

Judging from the continuous success of the comic books, it's no surprise that Warner Bros Film has closed a deal to create a film from them. Producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is in charge of the film production. In an interview with the LA Times, Sacasa revealed what the film would be about.

"The movie and this series are completely separate entities...Jon [Goldwater] and I have been talking about the movie for a while now - in fact, now that I'm remembering that breakfast where we first discussed 'Afterlife With Archie,' it was at a breakfast meeting for the 'Archie' movie, which is going to be a straight-up teen movie. It's Archie's coming-of-age story. Hopefully, it will be the 'Archie' movie people have been anticipating for 70-plus years. And here's a tidbit: Expect to see fan-favorites Cheryl Blossom and Kevin Keller in it, in very prominent ways," stated Aguirre-Sacasa.

The film is definitely something "Archie" fans would look forward to. As for the cast, it'll be a while before any official announcements are made. For now, speculations are all there is left.
