Barcelona forward Antonio "Tonny" Sanabria has confirmed that he will be moving to Italian side AS Roma.

"Roma already put the necessary money to the Spanish Federation for the clause asked by Barcelona," Sanabria revealed on Radio Monumental 1080 AM.

The Paraguayan has initially come to terms with Arsenal in December, but the announcement shocked fans and neutrals alike, who voiced their opinions and reactions on Twitter.

Roma are reported to have triggered the 17-year-old's buyout clause, but Sanabria will temporarily join another Serie A team before ultimately heading to Rome.

"I'll go on loan to another Serie A team," he added.
