Arsenal-Liverpool Draws with 2-2
Arsenal and Liverpool did not manage to close the gap for the top four by having a 2-2 draw.
It has been a hard week for Arsenal but they managed to close the game to a draw. This leaves them and Liverpool a chance for the top four at the Premier League.
What can be said of the Arsenal's game last night? Well, they did not start playing until they were lagging behind. It has been a wacky week for the Arsenal but there's much to celebrate now since hope is still up. While they were booed during halftime, Wenger's players managed to revive their hometown with a fightback against Liverpool.
For Liverpool however, it was an almost victory over a team that is in the top half of the Premier League. But the tables were turned and Arsenal still managed to pull a draw. Liverpool seized the game by taking advantage of Arsenal's poor defense. Something that Wenger has been working hard to fix.
But still in the end, both Arsenal and Liverpool are up for another match. Arsene Wenger must have definitely let out a sigh of relief, for now.
Arsenal's transfer rumors are still, well, rumors. Wenger confirmed that Barcelona is not interested in selling their striker David Villa. Apparently, Villa is Wenger's first choice of recruit to build his team.
Other rumors suggest that Arsene might be close to negotiating a deal with other options. It looks like Wenger is pulling all his efforts and money since the January transfer will close today at night.
Meanwhile, Manchester United managed to win with a 2-1 against Southampton. It was Wayne Rooney that sent the United with seven points clear in the English Premier League. Chelsea and Reading also draws with 2-2, putting Chelsea's manager, Rafa Benitez under extreme pressure. Tottenham also falls short by drawing 1-1 at Norwich.
