It may be just a matter of time before Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan could head elsewhere after revealing to German newspaper, Bild, of his indecision over his future.

Real Madrid and Manchester United are among the notable giant clubs that are interested in securing the German's services, but Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger may have a slight edge in luring the 23-year-old away from the Signal Iduna Park as he has long been known to have professed his admiration for Gundogan.

BVB Chairman Hans-Joachim Watzke revealed late last year that he was not sure of whether the playmaker would extend his stay at Dortmund, which the ex-Nürnberg player echoed in his his interview.

"I have not made a final decision yet. BVB are the first team I am talking to," said Gundogan.

"I will soon make a well-thought decision. But I am keeping my options open at this point."

Amid all speculations, Gundogan's priority, at this point, is to get healthy and return to top-shape after remaining on the sidelines since August because of a back injury.

He has 18 months left on his contract, and we can expect clubs to try to get away with a bargain should he decide not to sign a new agreement soon.
