"Pretty Little Liars" Ashley Benson proved that blondes don't always get all the fun when she debut her dark hair at the "Spring Breakers" SXSW Premiere. Ditching the blonde do, Benson turned to the dark side with her obviously darker toned hair. Is this a move to make producers of "Fifty Shades of Grey" film pick Benson to portray Anastasia Steele?

Ashley Benson has been widely raved on in various web polls for the role of Anastasia Steele. The only factor making Benson lose the role is her blonde hair. However, with Benson rocking the brunette do, maybe fans of "Fifty" would like her even better now?

The "Spring Breakers" star stunned a lot of fans during the Austin, Texas premiere of the Harmony Korine-directed film, "Spring Breakers." Rather than sporting the usual blonde do, Benson had dyed her lovely golden locks brown. It is obvious Benson took a break from the blonde.

This move would certainly catapult the star to the top ranks of potential Hollywood celebs that could play Anastasia Steele of "Fifty Shades of Grey." Benson has been widely eyed for the role. Yet, Ashley has a bit of a competition with other big stars in the business.

Currently in the top spot is "Gilmore Girls" star, Alexis Bledel. Following in at second place is "Game of Thrones" star, Emilia Clarke while "Like Crazy" actress, Felicity Jones ranks at third. Benson also has tough competition for the role with co-stars from "Pretty Little Liars" namely Lucy Hale and Troian Bellisario.

Hopefully, Universal Studios sees Ashley Benson's move as dedication to wanting to be in the film badly. Though with a director still not found, casting for the movie is definitely far off schedule. The film is already set to be released by summer of 2014. Fans of "Fifty Shades" are hungry for more and the only thing that is keeping the appetite alive is the news of possible actors and actresses cast for the roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.
