Apart from the open-seas exploration, there's also a modern-day setting that you'll find yourself immersed in come the release of Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag.

In the latest interview with the game's lead writer Darby McDevitt, Polygon reports that the players will get the chance to assume their own identity in the game, this time as an employee of the enemy corporation, Abstergo--and you'll be going at it in stealth mode.

Similar t how you would see spies in movies, you will be tasked to interact with other players who are also playing the modern day setting story arc, and you'll try to find clues by of the past of some Abstergo employees.

What's more, you can take sides depending on the actions that you choose to initiate.

"Not a literal 'press X to choose sides,'" said McDevitte to VG 24/7. "It will just present two sides of a conflict. You work for Abstergo, but you may like Assassins better. Or neither."

Assassin's Creed 4; Black Flag is headed for the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U, and PC by October 29, and to next-gen consoles PS4 and Xbox One at the time when they are released.

More Battlefield 4 characters revealed

Battlefield 4 may not just be filled with actions scenes but also more characters as DICE released character renders of four additions to the cast for its single-player mode.

According to The Examiner, the four characters include Hanna a.k.a Huang Shuyi, who is a Chinese female soldier first seen in trailers, with a still yet unspecified role in the game. Another character already rendered is Pac, or Clayton Pakowski who has been dubbed as a Marine Combat Lifesaver Two more characters are Irish and a gas mask-toting Chinese soldier.

As previously reported in VG 24/7, Battlefield 4 will follow a storyline wherein the players will take the role of Sergeant Daniel Recker who will be commanding a Tombstone squad to navigate through the chaos of China to gain back the peace.

Where the new character renders will take the lead still hasn't been confirmed, but it may be that they can be part of the enemy squad that can form an alliance with the Russian troops that are your main enemies, or they may be the Chinese troops that will help you gain position to end the chaos.

Battlefield 4 is slated for release on the PS3, Xbox 360, and the PC on October 29, with subsequent release on the next-gen consoles PS4 and Xbox One when they launch during the holiday season.

Watch Dogs trailer gives a glimpse of sandbox greatness

There's a reason why the new trailer for Watch Dogs seem to be shouting every praise that came from the many blogs and critics that has witnessed it first at the E3 2013--it's because it deserves each and every one.

In the newest trailer, all the right details, action, and graphics can be seen as both eye candy and substance to the game. You have a bad-ass lead in the form of Aiden Pearce navigating through the world and showcasing just how he can mess with the police and the very surroundings of the game with just a mobile phone.

It's testing his powers to the limit--or perhaps lack thereof--and, as you can see, it's seeing just how much control Pearce has over the environment, and what the implications of this may be.

The trailer comes in the wake of a previously released trailer, which features Aisha Tyler, comedian and actress, getting swept away from the sidewalk by a garbage truck. Whether it's supposed to come off as a funny was not even the issue, but more of a question of why the trailer was released in the first place--one which has poor graphics and a poorer sense of humour.

Here's to redemption Watch Dogs style with its new Honored trailer, right here.
