Aussie actress Ruby Rose’s unique style and classy reply to Jennifer Lawrence’s controversial ‘lesbian’ comment
“Orange is the New Black” star Ruby Rose is on a roll. She has made headlines for her work, her break-up with long time girlfriend Phoebe Dahl and for her latest modelling assignment with pal Hailey Baldwin for the Ralph Lauren Denim & Supply Spring 2016 campaign. Australian actress Ruby Rose and Halsey were also spotted together at a movie theatre in Hollywood, California watching “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” She partied hard with Taylor Swift at a Las Vegas club on New Year’s Eve; and now she has carried off a classic blazer in cool-girl style.
According to Vogue, Rose has deconstructed a Wall Street mainstay, the pantsuit and has added a refreshing touch on the borrowed-from-the-boardroom look. She has transformed a staid, collarless jacket into something vibrant, sleep and youthful. She has provided a modern update by coupling the formal jacket with contrasting leather biker trousers, a graphic Harley-Davidson tee and thick-soled boots. Rose looks stunning in this attire and has carried herself in a way that shows maturity and class.
Moreover, Rose’s classy response to “The Hunger Games” star Jennifer Lawrence’s “slutty power lesbian” comment in Glamour magazine also shows how the model and actress has matured over the years.
“I think that is an easy quote to misinterpret or to pick apart. But I know that she has an amazing sense of humor, and for her to say that, I know that would never come from a bad place,” Rose told The Cut.
Rose politely said the comment should not be misinterpreted because she believes that Lawrence cannot have malice against the LGBT community considering the fact that she spends so much time supporting them. Rose praised Lawrence for being an amazing actress and a strong advocate for women’s empowerment.
Rose has co-hosted the MTV Europe Music Awards with Ed Sheeran. She wore the unusual spaghetti dress as a tribute to Milan where the annual award ceremony was being held. 2015 has been quite an “awesome” year for her. See her speak on what she accomplished.
