It is about time for another Hugh Jackman movie. The Australian hunky actor is set to star in "Prisoners," a thriller produced by Alcon Entertainment according to the company's co-founders and co-CEO's.

Denis Villeneuve will be directing the film while Aaron Guzikowski of "Contraband" wrote the script. Alcon co-founders and co-CEO's Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson are producing with Kira Davis of 8:38 Productions and Adam Kolbrenner of Madhouse Entertainment.

Jackman stars as Keller, a small-town carpenter who heads to the big city to find his young daughter and best friend, who have been kidnapped. After the cops fail to find them, Keller takes the law into his own hands, but in the process runs up against the big city detective assigned to the case.

"We are ecstatic that Hugh will take the lead in this exciting thriller. We can think of no better 'Keller,' an every man who rises to an occasion most of us could not imagine possible. Denis's rare directing gifts are superbly matched to this material, that is both challenging and explores complex themes in a commercially appealing narrative," the producers shared.

Production will begin in early 2013, after Jackman finishes shooting the next "Wolverine: X-Men" for Fox. Alcon plans to release the movie in November 2013.
