'Avengers: Age of Ultron': Quicksilver And Scarlet Witch's Powers Revealed In The First Independent Posters
Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are all set make an appearance in “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” The posters of both the characters were recently revealed by Yahoo. They provide much-detailed look at the powers of twins. In the standalone poster, Quicksilver can be seen showing his ability of supersonic speed.
In the poster, Aaron Taylor-Johnson who is playing the role, can be seen in a running pose. He is dressed in a blue and grey coloured costume and appears to be in a fierce state. In his background, ultron minions can be seen flying.
According to comicbook, Quicksilver is a son of Magneto and he first made his appearance in X-Men#4. He was first introduced as the antagonist to X-Men but later became the part of avengers team. He is a mutant and his alter ego is Pietro. Quicksilver stays with Scarlett Witch to protect her. “His sister really is his guidance – emotionally she’s the one who looks after him, and vice versa. He’s very overprotective physically – he doesn’t want anyone touching her,” said Aaron about his character in his previous interview to Total Film.
Meanwhile, in another poster, a detailed look at Scarlet Witch was provided. She can be seen using her hands to create magic. Elizabeth Olsen who plays the role of Scarlet can be seen dressed in a red and black costume and red fumes can be seen floating in between her hands. She can be seen wearing gothic jewellery and is wearing her hair loose. According to comics, Scarlet Witch has the ability to alter reality and engage in hypnosis and telekinesis. Her alter ego is Wanda Maximoff and like her brother Quicksilver, she is a human mutant. She made her first appearance in X-Men #4 and Stan Lee and Jack Kirby have created her character.
In regards to her character Olsen has said previously that she like the ability of Scarlet Witch to “communicate with paranormal things,” reported Screen Rant. Though it is not confirmed whether this power of Scarlet Witch will be included in the film. “Avengers: Age of Ultron” is scheduled to be released on May1, 2015.
