Are things really "complicated" for these two or is it just another bump in the road for a possible "Happy Ending?" Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner finally speak up about the break-up rumors.

Earlier reports this week claimed that it was over for punk princess, Avril Lavigne, and "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star, Brody Jenner. The constant battle of having to balance their individual careers over their relationship caused a strain between them that led to the split.

"Every time he wanted to come back and take meetings to get his career back in order, she would make him go to Asia and Europe," shared a source to US Weekly. "He hasn't worked and he wants to. They were both unhappy because he wants to have his career, she wants him to stay with her."

The two have been dating since 2009 and have been inseparable. Brody would always be tagging along his girlfriend, Avril, on her tours. Though this also meant Brody hardly had enough time to focus on his own career and ended up turning down a few offers because he was dedicated to being beside Avril. Jenner probably had enough of it that caused the inevitable split.

However, people should hold up on the rumors because Brody isn't looking for a new "girlfriend" any time soon. In a tweet sent out by the reality television star, things aren't really over for him and Avril.

"It really upsets me to read all the FALSE!! stories. Avril has always been there for me and is the closest person to my heart. I love her," tweeted Brody to which his girlfriend, Avril, immediately replied: ""luv u 2!!!"

It doesn't take a genius to understand those tweets alone. So it all boils down to this: they haven't broken up. Were the gossip columns purely all false claims as Jenner put it? If it's up on their personal Twitter accounts then that would only mean that stories about them breaking up were all lies.

By the looks of it, Avril still has her "Darlin" Brody Jenner and there won't be any "Goodbye" songs on her next album.
