'The Bachelor' Second Runner-Up Becca Tilley Reacts To Suggestion That She Hook Up With Chris Soules
“The Bachelor” Season 19 couple released a joint statement to announce that they have decided to “mutually” and “amicably” end their engagement. Farmer Chris Soules, 33, and fertility nurse Whitney Bischoff, 29, also said that they continue to remain “supportive friends.” Soon after the news about Soules and Bischoff’s split surfaced, some of the fans started suggesting that second runner-up Becca Tilley should now get back together with Soules.
Tilley, 25, has found the suggestion funny. She took to Twitter to say, “Y'all are funny. Get back together with that guy who didn't choose you in the first place!”
According to reports, Soules was more in love with Tilley than Bischoff on the show. But Tilley reportedly was not ready to commit and that made Soules to go ahead and propose to fertility nurse from Chicago, with a 4-carat Neil Lane rock. The two were engaged for nearly six months.
Soules recently participated in the dancing reality show, “Dancing with the Stars,” and Bischoff frequently flew in from Chicago to watch his performances. The host of the show Erin Andrews has said that she is shocked to learn about “The Bachelor” couple break up, as she never saw it coming. E Online has quoted her saying, “I had no idea because I follow it just like everybody else does on Twitter. I think [Whitney] posted for the six-month anniversary of the proposal so this was a shock to me.”
Meanwhile, ET has reported that Soules and Bischoff split just two weeks after they spent time together at Soules’ farm in Arlington, Iowa. After the farm visit, Bischoff was seen with her girl buddies from “The Bachelor,” Tilley and Kaitlyn Bristowe. According to ET, the rumours started swirling soon after that the couple did not have a good time together at the farm.
After releasing the statement, Bischoff and Soules have taken to social media platforms to thank their fans for their support. And TMZ has reported that the marketing people of New Jersey based indoor theme park iPlay America have changed the punch line on their promos, keeping in mind the current single status of Soules. The previous posters reportedly called him “From ABC’s The Bachelor.” Now the promos call him the “The New Ultimate Bachelor.”
