'The Bachelorette Australia' runner-up Matty Johnson admits he's a bit jealous on Lee ending up with Georgia

"The Bachelorette Australia" runner-up Matty Johnson recently disclosed his feelings towards Georgia Love and the season's winner, Lee Elliot.

In a chat with Matty after the elimination, POPSUGAR Australia asked him if he's okay. " Yeah, I'm doing better because everybody today has just been so lovely and so nice, it's made the whole thing a bit more manageable." Matty replied.

When asked about his feelings on Georgia, he said that it has not changed at all. "As hard as it is to say this, my feelings towards Georgia haven't changed at all really. I still miss her. I still love her. It's hard."

When asked about Lee, Matty admitted that he was a bit jealous. "Yeah, I can't help but be a bit jealous of the fact he's ended up with her. But it's such a weird situation in that he was, well, all the guys become each other's support network, and you go into this emotional roller coaster and rely on each other to get through it. But at the same time you're also there to compete against each other, so it's so weird that one of your best friends is going to be the reason for your demise [laughs]."

As the conversation ended, Matty was told that he has so many fans.

"Everyone has been so supportive and so nice, and I'm so thankful for that," he said.

Meanwhile, Channel Ten has lost a chunk of its viewers in this year's finale of "The Bachelorette Australia." From 1.24 million viewers in the capital cities last year, the number dropped to 738,000, according to the data obtained by TV Tonight.

But it seems the network's chief content officer, Beverley McGarvey, was not aware of their numbers. She was confident to boast the success of the show and announced that "The Bachelorette Australia" would return in 2017.

"The recipe of love, drama, excitement, romance and amazing dates has struck a chord with many people and made The Bachelorette Australia one of the most talked about shows on television and a hit across multiple screens," McGarvey said in a statement.
