Days after the final episode of "The Bachelorette Australia" was aired on Oct. 22, and saw Sam Frost choose Sasha Mielczarek, runners-up Michael Turnbull and Richie Strahan have come forward to share their thoughts about losing to Mielczarek.

In an interview with News.com.au, Turnbull said being a part of “The Bachelorette Australia” was a very emotional four months for him. He emerged as the first runner-up with Strahan as the second runner-up.

“It’s been a slow process,” Turnbull added. “I’m not going to lie. It’s been hard. I have moved on in some sense, but having seen last night it did bring back a lot of those old emotions for me.”

After “The Bachelorette Australia,” Turnbull is taking some time out for himself. He said he just wants to just keep a low profile, stay positive and move forward.

Turnbull admitted that he and Frost shared an amazing connection, which was why he invested so much time and emotion in his relationship with her. While he respects Frost’s decision to go with her gut and choose Mielczarek, Turnbull said her decision did not make it easier for him.

Like Turnbull, Strahan has been keeping a low profile since Frost chose Mielczarek over him. However, Richie said he will deal with his loss by going fishing up north or surfing down south.

Pointing out that “The Bachelorette Australia” was filmed a while ago, Strahan said he is feeling okay now and his heart has mended. While it wasn't easy for him to lose and not get the final rose, he added that it was especially difficult seeing Frost visibly upset over having to break the other contestants’ hearts and choose Mielczarek.

Frost, Australia's first Bachelorette, is reportedly set to co-host the FM radio station 2DayFM's breakfast show. She is said to be joining Rove McManus after previous hosts Maz Compton and Dan Debuf were ousted.
