Leslie Carter, the sister of Backstreet Boys' member Nick Carter and former pop teen star Aaron Carter, was found lifeless in New York. At a very young age of 25, investigations are somehow leading to an overdose as the possible cause of death.

There were three prescription drugs found in the actual scenario near the dead body of Leslie. Ginger Carter, the stepmother, attested that Leslie seemed to be feeling fine during the last morning she saw of her but it cannot be denied that the young woman has been showing signs of depression with how she talks.

According to police reports, Ginger and her husband, Robert Carter, even helped Leslie to rest after falling in the shower the morning of January 30. When afternoon came and Leslie was still seemingly to be just sleeping, they only found out that she was already unconscious when they checked on her. Robert even tried his best to do CPR and eventually called 911.

The result of the autopsy is still yet to be revealed by the coroner's office of Chautauqua County especially since toxicology reports would still take about a month for completion.

According to the family, Leslie has been silently suffering from a certain kind of mental illness which led her to be addicted to the habit of using prescription drugs. The officers who responded to the incident reported that the drugs discovered in the scene were Alprazolam, Cyclobenzaprine and Olanzapine which is meant for treating symptoms of bipolar or schizophrenia.

Leslie's older brother, Nick, extends his sadness over what transpired in their family but he is still set to dedicate his shows to her late sister as he moves on for their group's scheduled tour. Aaron, on the other hand has cancelled his Off-Broadway show to spend time with the family.
