Barbra Streisand reportedly signed a contract with Sony that will give way to bigger plans.

In 2011, Tony Bennett released an album which included duets with modern artists of today like Mariah Carey, Carried Underwood and even the late Amy Winehouse. This time, it seems that it's Streisand's turn to follow the same approach as she is reportedly in talks of doing a duet with Adele and Rihanna.

According to the New York Post, Sony executives are thinking that collaborations with young artists attract a wide range of fans for the upcoming album of Streisand.

As per industry experts, such a move can boost the overall appeal of Streisand even if many of the younger music buyers may not even be aware of her songs.

It is believed that the bosses from Sony got their inspiration from Tony Bennett's album made up of various collaborations.

With Rihanna having reportedly recovered from her recent health scare due to a flu, then this news of a possible duet with Streisand can be good for her.
