‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice': Aquaman Could Be In Danger
Details to Aquaman’s involvement in “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” has yet to be revealed. Just how much screen time and importance Jason Momoa’s role could bring to the sequel is still unknown. However, a recent report suggests that the King of Atlantis could be in danger in the film.
Movie scoopster Umberto Gonzalez teased that “Suicide Squad” head Amanda Waller may have something to do with Aquaman being in danger in “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.” Just what happens to Aquaman will reportedly be answered by Waller as she has in possession his powerful trident in Belle Reeve prison. Gonzalez shared a post on his Instagram page suggesting that in the lower levels of the prison, where Amanda Waller keeps the super powered metahumans, is a trophy case where she keeps Aquaman’s trident. This is believed to be the same trident Jason Momoa is seen holding in this poster shared by Badass Digest .
Just how Amanda Waller got her hands on Aquaman’s trident is unknown. What happens to Aquaman in “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” is also uncertain. According to Badass Digest, the King of Atlantis will rarely have any appearances in “BVS.” The extent of Aquaman’s role in the film is only summed up in two scenes. According to writer Devin Faraci, “as of the shooting script Aquaman is barely even present, showing up only in a survey of metahumans by Lex Luthor and then again at the very ending, when Batman recruits him for the Justice League.” When and where Amanda Waller, the head of a team of supervillains tasked to hunt down metahumans, gets her own run in with Aquaman in these two “Batman V Superman” scenes is still unknown.
Amanda Waller’s possession of Aquaman’s trident in “Suicide Squad” could reportedly just be a fun easter egg set up by movie director David Ayer. Movieweb claimed it may not even have any direct connection to Aquaman’s story in “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.” But it could supposedly bring up some complications against Amanda Waller in her search for metahumans in “Suicide Squad.”
