'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice': Lex Luthor's Image Shows Him Wearing Long Hair
Jessie Eisenberg will reportedly sport long hair for his role of Lex Luthor in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.” In the recently released still, the actor can be seen sporting blonde hair as he stands against the table. He appears to be wearing a blue polka dot shirts and a pair of brown trousers. He has coupled his look with a black sweater.
Entertainment Weekly released the still. This is a very different look of Luthor from what has been released earlier. In March the first look showed him in a bald avatar. Reportedly, he will sport both the looks in the film. Eisenberg will reportedly have “emotional core” to his character. According to him it is not a “silly villainous character.”
“I mean, it’s probably for the best — there’s some kind of psychological accuracy. That the person is coming from a place probably diagnosable in some way,” he said about his character to MTV.
In the comics, Luthor is the archenemy of Superman and a powerful American billionaire. He has a charismatic personality and is well known public figure in metropolis. His goal is to kill Superman as he sees him as a threat to humanity. He does not have any superpowers and has been portrayed in the comics having a baldhead. His powers come from a high-tech battle suit called Warsuit. Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster have created the character and it made its first appearance in “Action Comics” No. 23.
“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” also stars Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman. It will show Batman visiting Metropolis as he fears that things may go out of control if Superman is left unchecked. As the two confront each other, a new threat arises. The other star cast consists of Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter and Gal Gadot. Zack Snyder has directed from the screenplay by Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer. Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder are the producers. Hans Zimmer has supplied the music and it is scheduled to be released on Mar. 25, 2016. It will be shown in theatres in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D.
