A private screening of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” for the crew reportedly ended with a standing ovation from the audience. The movie is said to have been watched by the crew of the movie as well as executives of Warner Bros.

According to a report by DenofGeek, a source from the industry has revealed that a cut of the movie was shown to the production crew and “bosses” in Warner Bros. The screening is said to have been a “glowing success” and the company is apparently offering a “golden deal” to Ben Affleck after seeing his performance in the movie.

The studio is supposedly offering Affleck a chance to reprise his role as Batman in a trilogy of stand-alone movies, greatly expanding the role of the actor in the DC cinematic universe. The actor will get to write and direct the first of the three movies, according to the report.

"Basically, Warners [creatives] are now working their movie universe around Ben's Batman," the industry source is said to have revealed. The report notes that if such a deal is signed it would mean that starting with “Batman v Superman” Affleck will be seen reprising his role in multiple movies for about a decade.

Warner Bros. is considering Affleck to be the “definitive Batman,” according to the report. Apart from the long acting career, Affleck has also worked as an executive producer, writer and director of several movie projects.

According to a report by Deadline, Warner Bros. has pushed the release dates of Affleck’s forthcoming movies “The Accountant” and “Live by Night.” The former was previously set to be released on Jan. 29, 2016 but has now been moved to Oct. 7, 2016 and the latter was supposed to be released on Oct. 7, 2016; but has now been pushed to an unspecified date in 2017.

The report notes that the change in release dates of Affleck’s two movies may have been done to accommodate the actor’s first solo Batman movie. The actor will next be seen playing the role in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” on March 25, 2016. The movie has been directed by Zack Snyder and will focus on the conflict between the two DC superheroes.
