'Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice': Green Lantern actor hints at role in movie
Actor Dan Amboyer hinted at playing the Green Lantern in “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” in a recent interview. The actor is expected to play the lead role in the 2020 movie “Green Lantern Corps.”
In an interview with Popsugar, Amboyer revealed that he had visited the set of the Zack Snyder movie and described the experience as “awesome.” The actor was apparently there at the time when the filming of the movie was beginning.
Talking about working with Snyder, the actor said that the director was a “cool guy.” “I don't know if people know this, but he's really big about fitness on set, even as far as catering. So, he's always encouraging healthy food, which is great. He even makes you do push-ups in between takes,” he said.
When asked to tease about the scenes he filmed for the movie, Amboyer said that he was not allowed to reveal any spoilers from the movie and said that he filmed a few “good” scenes.
The producers have so far not confirmed if the Green Lantern will be seen in “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice.” Amboyer has been told not to “say anything” about his character in the movie.
The actor hinted that he may be playing the Green Lantern, when he was asked about his favourite colour. “ Definitely blue, but I appreciate nature as well and everything green,” he said.
Meanwhile, cast members Henry Cavill (Superman) and Ben Affleck (Batman) were at the NBA to promote the movie. A video of their interview has been posted on the Twitter page of Turner Sports PR.
Both the actors have apparently seen the final cut of “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice.” Affleck revealed that the hardest part of the movie was for him to work out. The actor wanted to build his body like that of Cavill’s from “Man of Steel.”
